hepatoma

• associated with:
  • cirrhosis (alcoholic or postnecrotic)
  • hemochromatosis
  • hepatic toxins (aflatoxins)
  • schistosomiasis
  • glycogen storage disease type I (von Gierke)
  • Thorotrast

• invades blood vessels in 75%
• a/w cirrhosis in 75%, usually post-necrotic
