• X-linked recessive

• demyelination of cerebral white matter
• adrenal insufficiency (unresponsive to ACTH)

• CT: white-matter dz: occipital regions --> frontal
  • progression --> generalized atrophy

• MRI: hypointense T1/hyperintense T2, atrophic splenium of corpus callosum

• NM: increased uptake in involved regions
