Caplan syndrome

• necrobiotic rheumatoid lung nodules
• coal worker's pneumoconiosis
• pulmonary findings may precede joint manefestations

Findings:

• round, peripheral nodules (0.5 - 5.0 cm), +/- cavitation
• nodules a/w subQ rheumatoid nodules
