• child: supracondylar fracture of humerus
• adult: radial head fracture

fat pads

• anterior seen normally, displaced proximally by effusion
• POSTERIOR ==> elbow jt effusion

• anterior humeral line: should pass thru capitellum
• radio-capitellar line: should bisect radius + capitellum
