  • papillary --> neck nodes
  • follicular --> lungs, bone (hematogenous)

• anaplastic (20%)
  • older pts
  • prognosis poor

• medullary (5%)
  • "C" cells
  • a/w pheochromocytoma (MEN-2 + MEN-3)

• hot and cold nodules on radionuclide studies
• risk factors
