ovarian stromal tumors

• age 20 - 50 yrs
• 20% of all ovarian tumors

• fibroma / fibrosarcoma

• granulosa-theca cell tumor
  • +/- estrogens ==> precocious puberty, endometrial hyperplasia/Ca, fibrocystic breast dz

• Sertoli-Leydig cell tumor
  • aka: arrhenoblastoma
  • +/- androgens ==> masculinization

• may be mixed type
