- S/P aortic valve surgery, CABG

- S. aureus (53%)
- Salmonella (33-50%)
- streptococcus
site
findings
- saccular structure arising eccentrically from aortic wall
- periaortic gas formation
- adjacent vertebral osteomyelitis
- adjacent reactive lymph node enlargement
- life threatening hemmorhage (75%)
- 67% overall mortality
