  • erythroblatosis fetalis (= villous edema and hyperplasia)
  • umbilical vein obstruction
  • fetal high output failure
    • large chorioangioma
    • sacrococcygeal teratoma
    • arteriovenous fistula

• preeclampsia (a/w placental infarcts in 33-60%)
