Colles fracture

• radial fracture in distal 2 cm
• +/- ulnar styloid fracture
• dorsal displacement of distal fragment
• "silver-fork" deformity

• most common fracture in this region
• mechanism: fall on an outstretched hand
• complication: post-traumatic arthritis
